Schematic Model Making
Schematic models are a 3D representation of your design. They are scaled down and can be made from a range of materials, such as cardboard, paper, acrylic, mount-board and plywood. They are made accurately and neat.
Our task today was to create a schematic model of the plan using corrugated cardboard, foam-board and card. We were given 1:1 measurements but scaled them down using a 1:50 scale. I used a pencil, scale ruler, UHU glue, cutting mat and scalpel. At the end I made and added two chairs and two people to add a sense of reality to it.
The photos below are my schematic model.
