Today we learnt about drawing sections. They illustrate information that cannot be easily understood from the plans or elevations which we have done in the past few weeks. They represent a vertical plane cut through an object. Everything cut by the section plane is shown as a bold line or a solid fill.

We were given three self-directed tasks. The first was to draw a mug’s plan, elevation and section. The second was to draw a room’s plan and section and the third was to draw a room in section. We were given a photo or plan of each and the dimensions.
